April 16, 2012 - Cascade Power Group partners with City of Mountlake Terrace (WA) to issue RFQ for an energy district feasibility study   NEW!
Notice is hereby given that the City of Mountlake Terrace is requesting Letters of Interest (LOI) and Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from interested, qualified firms to perform a preliminary feasibility  analysis for the establishment of an Energy District in the Town Center area of Mountlake Terrace, WA. The City’s expected budget is $6,000.

March 28, 2012 - Washington State Governor sets precedent by signing renewable thermal bill into law
Olympia, WA - Today Governor Christine Gregoire signed a bill that allows renewable thermal energy to qualify for renewable energy credits.  The bill also allows utility companies to add renewable thermal energy to the list of alternative energy resources they provide for customers to purchase.  These sources include: biomass heati through boilers, geothermal or ground-source heating, solar heating... more

November 16, 2011 - CPG is one of 51 industry associations to urge President Obama to support Energy Efficiency in Greenhouse Gas Standards    
On November 14th, Cascade Power Group is proud to be included as one of 51 industry associations and individual companies on a letter to President Obama asking the Administration to target energy efficiency as a means of achieving reductions in greenhouse gases from the power sector.

August 4, 2011 - Cascade Power Group CEO selected for US Department of Energy Regional Board of Advisors
Cascade Power Group today announced that chief executive officer, Chuck Collins, has been selected to serve as an Advisory Board Member for the US Department of Energy's "Pacific Clean Energy Application Center", along with esteemed representatives from Capstone Turbines (CPST), UTC Power Corporation (UTX), Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and others.  The group's mission is "to help the DOE double the nation's clean energy capacity" by 2030.
 
 
June 6, 2011 - Cascade Power Group CEO selected for 2011 AEE Renewable Energy Award  
 
CPG CEO Chuck Collins receives the AEE's 2011 'Renewable Energy Innovator of the Year' award in ChicagoCascade Power Group today announced that chief executive officer, Chuck Collins, has been selected to receive the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) "Renewable Energy Innovator of 2011" Award for Region V (Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington). According to AEE, the award is presented to an individual for outstanding achievement and innovation in promoting the adoption of renewable and/or green energy technologies.  The award winners will be recognized at a special gala event on Tuesday, October 11, at the Navy Pier in Chicago, the day prior to the opening of the World Energy Engineering Congress.
"This award is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of Cascade Power Group employees and the great partnerships we have formed with our clients," stated Mr. Collins. "I am fortunate to work with talented industry leaders who are constantly developing innovative ideas to implement cost-effective renewable energy solutions in the region." 
 
 
March 8, 2011 - Distributed Energy Policy Review coming soon in Washington State  
Washington state will review their policies for distributed energy resources during spring and summer of 2011, as announced today during the Washington State House of Representatives Technology, Energy and Communications (TEC) committee.  The WA Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) provided a timeline and scope for this review.  Cascade Power Group provided information assistance for the hearing and commits to helping the state during their assessment.  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
February 15, 2011 - Cascade Power Group CEO selected for interim board of directors
Chuck Collins, CEO for Cascade Power Group LLC (Bellevue, WA) has been selected to join the interim board-of-directors for the newly formed "Local Energy Alliance of Washington" (localenergywa.org), a coalition focused on reducing barriers to community-scale energy projects in Washington State.
 
 
 
December 15, 2010 - CPG to Assist with 355kW Solar PV Array Utility Interconnection
Cascade Power Group (Bellevue, WA) has been selected to assist with the utility-interconnection and power purchase agreement (PPA) negotiations for Washington State's largest publicly-owned solar pv array (355kW).  The system is currently under construction and projected to be online in early 2012.

Cascade Power Group has been chosen for a multi-agency shared resource conservation program for the City of Bremerton, City Poulsbo, Port of Bremerton, and City of Bainbridge Island.
